What: Free Airplane Flights for Kids Age 8-17
Where: Parkland College Institute of Aviation, Willard Airport, Savoy
When: Saturday, April 13, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Appropriate for: All ages, airplane rides are only for kids ages 8-17.
Why you should go: Area young people ages 8 to 17 will have a chance to take to the skies on April 14, as Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 29 hosts a Young Eagles Flight Rally at Willard Airport in Savoy. The schedule is from 9:00-11:00 am, on a first-come, first-served basis. No preregistration is required, but a parent or guardian must accompany the youth and be able to sign a release form.
What: The Great Egg Chase
Where: The Vineyard Church
When: Saturday, April 13, 9:30-11:00 a.m.

Why you should go: Love egg hunts? It’s time for The Great Egg Chase 2019! The morning will consist of complimentary donuts, milk, and coffee, giveaways, a re-telling of The Easter Story, an Easter Bunny photo booth, and an Easter egg hunt. Where: Leonhard Recreation Center
When: Saturday- Monday, April 13-April 15, 10:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. Diaper Derby is 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14.
How much: FREE on Sunday and Monday. Admission charge on Saturday for $2.00 a person.
Appropriate for: All ages, but use your judgement. Strollers are allowed at the public sale but not allowed at the pre-sales. Children are not allowed at the pre-sales unless they are in a front or back carrier and attached to an adult at all times.
Why you should go: One Week Boutique is the area’s premier pop-up children’s sale. It is the place to buy and sell baby gear, toys, and most of all, clothes for your kiddos — all at reasonable prices. Want more OWB fun? Make plans to attend the Diaper Derby crawling baby contest on Sunday.
What: Illini Football – Orange and Blue Spring Game and Family Fun Fest

Why you should go: The Illinois Football Orange and Blue Spring Game is set for April 13 at 2 p.m. and will headline a weekend of activities, including an autograph session, Grange Grove Family Fun Fest, annual merchandise sale, as well as home events for the No. 13 men’s tennis and track and field teams. Admission is free for all events featured during the weekend.
What: Community Pool-ooza
Where: Urbana Indoor Aquatic Center
When: Saturday, April 13, 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
How much: Admission to the pool is required – $6 per person.
Appropriate for: All ages
Why you should go: In partnership with Community Choices and CUSR, the Urbana Indoor Aquatic Center is hosting a community friendly event open to the general public. This event will be run by people with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as staff from UIAC. Expect an afternoon full of interactive pool games, water sports and much more! There will be prizes and even ways for non-swimmers to get involved!
