This is also a great weekend for local theatre in Champaign-Urbana and beyond. Students from both Central and Centennial High School’s theater departments come together for Shrek the Musical! at Centennial High School , and “Urinetown” the musical at Urbana High School. Why you should go: It’s a craft show the entire family will enjoy! There is something for the whole family to find and enjoy for the holiday season. This event is free to come and see and there will be breakfast and lunch available for purchase at the event.

Where: Homer Lake Interpretive Center, Homer Lake Forest Preserve

Why you should go: Bring your family and friends to Homer Lake for a fall day of fun! This program will be packed with activities to get you outside and moving. Join Homer CCFPD staff for an interpretive hike through the fall woods, learn how to build a survival shelter, and meet some of the resident reptiles up close. Why you should go: Come cheer on the Fighting Illini as they take on Penn State at Huff Hall! This will be IlliNOISE Night- Come out to Huff Hall to support your Illini as they take on Penn State.
