Online registration for the City of Champaign’s next Residential Electronics Collection event will open on Monday, Sept. 9, 2019 at 8 a.m.  (the actual event takes place on Sat., Oct. 12, 2019).

Pre-registration for the event is required to participate. To register, simply visit the website. (If you need assistance with registering, please call 217-403-4780 on Sept. 9). As part of your registration, you will select one of the 15-minute time slots to bring your items. This helps keep wait times to a minimum.

This year’s event will have a limit of 10 items total and a two-television limit per registrant. This collection event is the only (cost-free) local option to dispose of an older, tube-style television.

The collection event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 12, at Parkland College, 2400 W. Bradley Avenue in Champaign. (Residents need to use the Duncan Road entrance into Parkland College and then follow the signs.)

At this time, 18 cities and villages within the County have agreed to participate in helping to support this
event. Persons residing in the following Champaign County communities are eligible to register: Bondville, Champaign, Fisher, Gifford, Homer, Ivesdale, Ludlow, Mahomet, Ogden, Rantoul, Royal, Sadorus, Savoy, Sidney, St. Joseph, Thomasboro, Urbana, and Unincorporated Champaign County.
